DSV are offering the opportunity to get together with other Victorian parents each month in an informal online format. Our peer catch-ups are a great chance to meet other parents, share information and experiences.
Who are these sessions for?
These sessions are suitable for parents who have a child with Down syndrome aged 0-15 years. We also periodically run coffee and chat sessions for parents of older teens and adults which you can take a look at here.
Expected learning outcomes:
- Connect with other parents and carers
- Share information and experiences
- Peer support
- Updates from DSV
All sessions will be run from 11:00am-12:00pm on the third Saturday of every month. Click the links below to register, and mark the dates in your diary for those that are not yet open for registration:
21 November 2020
19 December 2020
16 January 2021

Sonia Bonadio, Family Support Manager, DSV
This session will be facilitated by our Family Support Manager Sonia Bonadio. Sonia is a social worker and a parent of a child with Down syndrome and has worked with services in the disability sector, mental health, maternity services, protective services and early intervention. In 2016 Sonia worked as a MyTime Facilitator for DSV and thoroughly enjoyed her time facilitating the group, providing her with a great opportunity to gain understanding and knowledge in many areas relating to families who have or who are caring for children who have Down syndrome.
