Helping young people with intellectual disabilities make the transition to employment
University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Onemda (Disability Services & Support Organisation, Melbourne) are undertaking research to better understand how young people (aged 15-25 years) with intellectual disabilities get work experience placements and/or maintain their employment. The findings of this research will be used to help young people make better transitions to long term employment and live even more fulfilling lives.
They are gathering the views of young people with intellectual disability, their parents/families and teachers, as well as with Disability Service Providers (DES) and current or potential employers.
There are several ways you can help, including one or all of the following:

- participating in a Zoom focus group or interview (register your interest here)
- distributing this information to other people in your network
