Down Syndrome Australia (DSA) is looking for people with Down syndrome to work as Employment Ambassadors in each state. DSWA will be recruiting 3-4 Employment Ambassadors. We are seeking people who are keen and prepared to talk to businesses and organisations about jobs for people with Down syndrome; help develop a national work readiness program and present within your respective states; and share the employment experiences in a national awareness campaign.
- Employment Ambassadors will be required to work with DSA on the awareness campaign and may be required to travel as part of this role for DSA (dependent on Covid etc)
- It is expected that the Ambassadors have experience in mainstream employment (not just within the DS organisations) and will be able to speak about their experiences.
- DSA will run an orientation/training sessions for the Ambassadors once they are onboard. The training sessions will be drafted and shared for feedback.
Training will be provided to prepare you for meetings and presentations.
