About the event

Dementia is a condition that causes a lot of concern for our community of adults with Down syndrome. We know that dementia is more common for people with Down syndrome and occurs at a younger age than in people who don’t have Down syndrome.

In this webinar we will be joined by Professor Julian Trollor from UNSW in Sydney to discuss this important topic.

His presentation will cover the basics of:
• What is dementia?
• Why is it common in people with Down syndrome?
• What are the signs of dementia in people with Down syndrome?
• What can we do to prevent or delay dementia?
• What do we do if someone shows signs of dementia?

This webinar will be an excellent resource for anyone wanting to learn more about this topic and there will be a time limited opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation.
