What is Key Word Sign?
Key Word Sign (KWS) is the use of manual signs and natural gesture to support communication in children and adults with communication difficulties. KWS uses a core vocabulary to communicate concepts and ideas and each “word” is matched to an Auslan hand sign to further support communication.
KWS is also a great tool to support and enhance verbal language in children and adults.
