About the event
Modifying the curriculum poses one of the most challenging area for teachers when educating individuals with
diverse learning needs. It can sound like a time-consuming process but, this is a misconception and when done
with intention, utilising the principles of Universal Design for Learning, we can make these modifications quite
easily and incidentally. Through examples, demonstrations and practical applications this webinar and subsequent
workshop will help educators understand how to modify learning opportunities to ensure ALL students are
achieving to the best of their ability. This is a 2-part workshop with the first being this 1.5hour webinar discussing
the theory and understanding behind the curriculum and subsequent modification of learning outcomes and
assessment tasks. The second part being a practical workshop, with hands-on discussion and application, applying
knowledge gained. To find out more please contact us at education@downsyndromeqld.org.au and we will send
you out an information pack.
