Peer Support Group: Co-occurring Diagnosis thumbnail.

Peer support group for parents and carers

Are you a parent or carer of someone with a diagnosis of Down syndrome and also ASD or ADHD?

This group is an opportunity to meet other families, get to know each other, and share ideas and experiences.

This group is open to all families/carers in Australia who would like to learn more about co-occurring diagnoses and would also like to connect with others who are supporting people with a co-occurring diagnosis.

This month, we will be exploring the use of visual supports and schedules.

Participants will be able to:

  • Develop a connection to other families and carers
  • Share information and experiences in a safe and understanding forum
  • This will be an ongoing peer-directed support group.

Meetings are held monthly – we alternate each month between a daytime and evening session.
