Zoe Shearer is the Health Project Manager at Down Syndrome Victoria. She has worked delivering project and training in the non-profit sector for the last 16 years. Zoe is passionate about working with people to bring about real change and improving outcomes for people with disability and those that support them.
For Zoe, staying healthy is really important especially as you get older. It helps you keep doing the things you love to do, keeps you active and really helps with your mental health.
Kez is passionate about being able to meet up with groups of friends and provide a voice for her community. Kez would like to help people with Down syndrome to get a paid job in the community and live independently.
For Kez staying healthy is important because it is important to make sure you have enough energy for the day. I like to stay happy, smiling and laughing. If you don’t look after your health, you might not have a good day.
Matt is passionate about his community and raising awareness about Down syndrome. He is very excited to be the Chair of the Down Syndrome Advisory Network Victoria (DSANVic).
Staying healthy for Matt is both mental health and physical health. It is important to have a balance, mentally strong mind, and body.
