Join us to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

Date: Sunday 21st March 8am-11am

Our friends at the Scrapheap Adventure Ride will be holding a World Down Syndrome Day Ride to Canowindra in Central NSW on the weekend of 20-21st March.

We would like to invite our members and supporters  to join us for a BBQ breakfast (supported by the local Lions Club) at the Showgrounds on Sunday 21st March – it’s a chance to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and meet some of the Down Syndrome NSW team, fellow members and Scrapheap riders. Canowindra is in Central NSW, about a 4 hour drive from Sydney. We’d love to see you there!

Camping at the Showground (with basic facilities) is also available if you’d like to make a weekend of it – camping is free or $20 for powered sites – phone the campgrounds direct on 0428 634 410 for bookings. If you’d like to jump on your bike and join the Scrapheapers for the ride, you can find details on the Scrapheap Facebook page.

A huge thank you to Perry and the Scrapheap Adventure Ride team for their ongoing support. We are delighted that Perry’s effort for people with Down syndrome was recognised with an Australia Day honour award.

To join us for breakfast on Sunday 21st March, please REGISTER by Monday 15th March to RSVP (for catering purposes).

Please contact us if you have any other questions about the breakfast: media@dsansw.org.au or 0424 276 654.
