Advocacy Platform

Leave No One Behind is Down Syndrome Australia's 2019 election advocacy platform that identifies the issues that are important to people with Down syndrome and their families. The platform outlines eight priority areas that DSA are asking the political parties to consider and address in their election commitments.

An Easy Read version is available here: Leave No One Behind - Easy Read

Down Syndrome Australia have also developed a toolkit of election resources which includes information on how to let members of parliament and candidates know what is important to people with Down syndrome and their families during and after the campaign. The toolkit is available here: Leave No One Behind - Advocacy Resources

Down Syndrome Australia is often asked about it's position on popular and sometimes, controversial issues. We have compiled a number of position statements in response to this, and they will be added below as they are finalised by the board.
