Charlotte Bailey, Australian Capital Territory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Charlotte is 21 years old and works at ACT Down Syndrome Association and in the bistro at the Eastlake Football Club.\u00a0 She wanted to become an Employment Ambassador is because she likes meeting new people and learning new skills. She is also excited to help other people with Down syndrome get jobs like her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keziah Glenane, Victoria\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Keziah is passionate about being able to provide a voice for her community. She has been working for 9 years at Harris Scarfe<\/a> and says the people she works with are very nice and make her feel welcome. She would like to help people with Down syndrome to get a paid job in the community and live independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ellen Maher, New South Wales<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ellen has worked at the Coates Hire head office for 3 years. She currently works 5 days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ellen is looking forward to assisting people with Down syndrome to experience the joy and independence that comes with having their own job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eoin Gibson, Queensland<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Eoin works for Coles in fresh produce and in the bakery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eoin believes that everyone has the right to work, including people with Down syndrome, and if we support each other then anything is possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah Caruso, South Australia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah works for the South Australian Council on Intellectual Disability (SACID) as an Inclusion Advisor and as a South Australian Employment Ambassador.
Isaiah\u2019s strengths in the workplace are that he is motivated and enjoys learning, he is team orientated, punctual, reliable, respectful and focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Ambassador Isaiah wants to help others to be the best people that they can be by being a positive role model for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Russell, South Australia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Joseph is a South Australian Employment Ambassador and a Trainee at JIGSAW. Joseph likes to continuously build on his skill set and always demonstrates good leadership qualities. Joseph is currently working on developing his skills in digitisation, file management, scanning
and quality control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Ambassador Joseph believes that all people have the right to work in employment of their choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mia Johnston, South Australia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n


Mia is a South Australian Employment Ambassador. Mia feels strongly about treating people with respect and being a good person and has previously worked as a mentor for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an Ambassador Mia believes it is important to be a great team member
to help people and to be kind and caring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rachel Parker<\/strong>, Western Australia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rachel works in admin at Perth Children\u2019s Hospital and has been part of the team since the start of the year. She takes on a variety of admin tasks and has already achieved some amazing milestones. One of her proudest achievements is now being able to work independently once every fortnight\u2014a huge step in her growth and confidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of PCH, Rachel is also involved with DSWA and the DSWAAN committee. Being part of DSWAAN helps her build confidence, speak up for others, and contribute positively to the entire DSWA community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke Canham<\/strong><\/strong>, Western Australia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Brooke is a valued member of DSWA and DSWAAN team. Being part of DSWAAN has helped her build confidence and speak up for herself and others, creating a positive ripple effect across our whole community. She loves getting involved and volunteers at many of the DSWA events we hold each year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brooke also has a job, which is an important step in helping her live a more independent and confident life. Employment gives her opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive\u2014something we hope every member of DSWA can experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
