Outdated stereotypes still persist and parents are often on the receiving end of (sometimes) well-meaning but hurtful assumptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article,  <strong>Leticia Hodson<\/strong> (formerly Keighley) asks parents which comments really get under their skin and what do they wish people would just stop saying about Down syndrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p> <em>\u201cWhen other people hear about your child\u2019s diagnosis for the first time, they want to say something positive but often don\u2019t know what to say.
