Down Syndrome WA have developed a wide range of government and local business contacts and we work to assist people with Down syndrome to gain employment.
Down Syndrome WA worked together with the Department of Training and Workforce Development to have the Certificate II in Customer Engagement registered as a traineeship. The idea behind this project was for people with Down syndrome to be able to access mainstream employment while accessing vocational training and being supported on the job.
We advocate for people with Down syndrome looking to gain open employment and will work with you to help you achieve your employment goals. We may be able to provide one on one, on the job support through your NDIS plan, and we will work with you to find the supports required to retain employment.
