Do you have a child with Down syndrome or Intellectual Disability in your school?

Down Syndrome Western Australia (DSWA) runs a professional learning day, in person and online, focused on Educating the Student with Down Syndrome. It’s provided throughout the year and on demand.

Topics have included:

  • Communication
  • Understanding behaviour
  • Classroom and playground management
  • Pre-literacy and pre-numeracy
  • Classroom adaptations
  • Boundary setting and protective behaviours

This is supported by a private Facebook group for members.

Consultancy Services

We also provide a consultancy service for schools, staff groups and classroom teachers.
