Down Syndrome Western Australia (DSWA) runs a professional learning day, in person and online, focused on Educating the Student with Down Syndrome. It’s provided throughout the year and on demand.
Topics have included:
- Communication
- Understanding behaviour
- Classroom and playground management
- Pre-literacy and pre-numeracy
- Classroom adaptations
- Boundary setting and protective behaviours
This is supported by a private Facebook group for members.
Consultancy Services
We also provide a consultancy service for schools, staff groups and classroom teachers.
