This resource offers different options for breaks. Creates empowerment and independence by allowing students to dictate when they feel they need a break.

Cut up and give to student to use when required.

Time how long break is so you remember.

Pop cards into a lanyard and have student or teacher wear around their neck for quick retrieval.

Alter the number of break cards depending on student’s attention span and period the cards are used for i.e. a lesson of 45mins may only need 4 cards, a whole session (2hrs) may need 8 etc.

Reduce the number of cards used in a session to increase engagement.
