Today we were delighted to attend a morning tea at Australian Parliament House in honour of next week's International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD).
We heard from NDIS Minister, Jenny McAllister and the IDPwD Ambassadors including DSA Health Ambassador Olivia Sidhu.
Be part of creating an inclusive and diverse community in Australia. Join us on 3 December as we celebrate IDPwD.

Jack Williamson from our Down Syndrome Advisory Network wants to share his tip for doing well at work.
"One thing that helps me to have success with my work is that I can take feedback on something I am doing and make improvements.
When I have a speech at Fleet Plant Hire to talk to people about their insurances and certificates, sometimes I mumble my words, and they don't understand me. When they tell me they don’t understand, I think about what I have said, and I fix up my words so they can understand me better."
What’s your top tip for succeeding at work or learning something new? Share it in the comments!

DSA Board member Claire Mitchell features in the Community Conversation Guide for International Day of People with Disability - Australia (IDPwD) on 3 December!
Claire shares her thoughts on the role people with disability can play as leaders.
The Guide is designed to help start conversations about disability in your workplace, at school or university, or in your local community group. It’s a way to build understanding, respect and inclusion all year round, not just on IDPwD.
We encourage you to share it with your workplace, school or community group to help them start meaningful conversations too.
