Down syndrome and the Arts
This issue of Voice published in January 2015 looks at the creative side of our community and features a ton of stories from people succeeding in their artistic pursuits. Featuring sculptors, DJs, painters and burlesque dancers, this piece is a celebration of the talent in the Down syndrome community. This issue also ran a feature on Sam Beke, the heart and soul of the hit band Rudely Interrupted as well as an article on accessible art in major international galleries. We also covered leukemia and Down syndrome as well as ways to cope with grief and loss.
