National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is the biggest social reform in Australia since the introduction of Medicare so there is a lot to learn.
In the December 2013 issue, we covered the introduction of the scheme by looking at what the scheme will mean for people with Down syndrome and their families as well as hearing about what is happening on the front line at one of the launch sites in Victoria.
We also discussed ways to make the most of the new scheme and what the impact might be on existing organisations and informal supports.
