Educating Children with Down Syndrome – Professional Learning Day

Down Syndrome Western Australia (DSWA) host an annual professional learning day for teachers, educational assistants, and school administrators, usually in February of each year. The event is held in person and online to allow regional education staff to attend.

It includes presentations from DSWA staff, members and guest presenters who are specialists in the areas of classroom adaptations, pre-reading and numeracy, boundary setting and protective behaviours and understanding behaviour and classroom management.

It is an outstanding day, providing expert speakers on Educating Children with Down Syndrome in the classroom.

It is advertised on our social media, e-news and emails to schools in Western Australia.
