Down Syndrome Western Australia (DSWA) provides support and information to people with Down syndrome and their families across all ages.

Pre-natal Families
We can help if you are pregnant and have received a possible or confirmed diagnosis of Down syndrome. For support, advice and information please contact DSWA – familysupport@downsyndromewa.org.au or 08 6182 3690.

New Parent Support
We offer:
- Hospital, home visits or phone calls
- Weekly playgroups
- PCH outreach and support
- Facebook groups for people with Down Syndrome and their families and carers
- NDIS information and advice
- New parent morning teas
Regional Outreach
The Regional outreach program supports and connects people with Down syndrome and their families and carers in regional areas throughout Western Australia. DSWA also connects with service providers, medical and education professionals.
The regional outreach program assists to:
- connect families living in the same communities
- Appoints volunteers Regional Representatives in each region who will be a parent, carer or sibling, along with adults with Down syndrome.
- Reaches out to medical professionals, social workers, child health nurses and schools and supply them with up-to-date knowledge and resources. And training such as teacher professional learning days.
- Supports local fundraising and events
