The 2026 global theme, “Together Against Loneliness,” highlights the importance of friendships, connection, and belonging for people with Down syndrome. This year, we’re shining a light on how communities can come together to ensure no one feels alone.

Enjoy an inspiring morning featuring a panel discussion with leading voices from the disability community, alongside members of government and local community representatives. Hear real stories, learn meaningful insights, and discover how each of us can help build stronger, more connected communities.

Keynote Speaker:

Caitlin Woolley

Down Syndrome Australia Health Ambassador & Digital Champion

Caitlin Woolley is 23 years old and has been a Health Ambassador for Down Syndrome Australia for the past five years. She currently works at Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Queensland (DSIDQ) and has served as a peer mentor in the DSIDQ Hear Me Out debating program. In addition to this Caitlin is currently a Digital Champion role with Down Syndrome Australia.

With her family Caitlin has moved from Queensland to northern New South Wales, then to Tasmania and back again. As well as educating others in her ambassador role about the importance of health, she has learned for herself the importance of building friendships and connection for wellbeing and positive mental health.
