About the event
All legendary dads, grandfathers and male carers of people with Down syndrome are invited to join Down Syndrome Victoria Chief Executive Officer Daniel Payne for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon at the footy.
We will be watching the Saints take on Bulldogs in a reserved seating section at Marvel Stadium. The match starts at 3:15pm. You can bring your family member with Down syndrome to join the fun!
There’ll be no formal presentations and no pressure — just a friendly AFL game and a great opportunity to connect with other dads and men in the DSV community.
During the match, you’ll also get to witness a member of the DSV community taking part in the Fiona McBurney Match Day Experience. This special initiative connects sport and disability by giving individuals the unique opportunity to undertake an official guest AFL trainer role for the AFL umpires on match day.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Parenting Research Centre, this event is free to attend. DSV will cover the cost of tickets for you and your family member.
Tickets are limited, so be sure to register soon to secure your spot! Registrations close at 11:59pm on Sunday 7 June.
You will receive your entrance tickets approximately one week prior to the game via email. On the day, please meet us at your allocated seats.
