Mandurah Community Disability Expo
Nikki and Cas recently had the opportunity to host a stall at the Mandurah Community Disability Expo with DSWAAN members Rachel and Adam helping on the stand.
It was a fantastic day, with the team connecting with many familiar faces, as well as welcoming some new ones. These events are always a valuable chance to engage with the community, share information, and build meaningful connections.
A big thank you to Rachel and Adam for joining us on the day and for their support in connecting with others and sharing their personal stories—it made a real difference.
Peel Community Meet-Up
Later that afternoon, Nikki hosted a community meet-up at the Caterpillar Playgroup.
Eight families from across the Peel community came together for a relaxed and welcoming catch-up. While the children enjoyed playing, parents had the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and enjoy a chat.
It was a lovely afternoon that highlighted the importance of creating spaces for families to come together and support one another.
