Join paediatric Stomal Therapist and Clinical Nurse Consultant Natalie Gentile as she explores the unique continence needs that may be experienced by individuals with Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disability.
This presentation will provide caregivers with practical information to support their understanding of constipation, toilet training, and alternative continence management strategies.

About Natalie

Natalie transitioned from a background in Sociology into nursing in 2015 and is now a Registered Stomal Therapist with extensive experience across paediatrics, stomal therapy, urological care, and complex wound management.
She’s a keynote speaker for professional nursing associations, has presented at major Australian conferences, and was recognised in 2025 with the Continence Health Australia STAC Scholarship and Lord Mayor’s Women in Business Award. Her practice is underpinned by a commitment to social justice and ensuring equitable, compassionate care.
