Down Syndrome Victoria and Albury Wodonga Health service have come together to pilot an innovative project to employ a person with Down syndrome to co-host disability awareness training.
This position is for the position of Health and Education Ambassador. The Health and Education Ambassador will share their stories and lived experience to health professionals and co-host workshops. These workshops will talk about how to work with people with Down syndrome.
The Health and Education Ambassador will receive training and support to do this job.
This position is available to people with Down syndrome aged 18 years and over and all communication types.
DSV’s Health Project Manager, Zoe Shearer, is running an information session for people who would like to learn more about the position.

Zoe Shearer is the Health Project Manager at Down Syndrome Victoria. She has worked delivering project and training in the non-profit sector for the last 16 years. Zoe is passionate about working with people to bring about real change and improving outcomes for people with disability and those that support them.
