Key Word Sign Workshop for Parents – Toowoomba thumbnail.

Join our accredited Key Word Sign (KWS) presenter and the DSIDQ Education Team for an engaging two-hour workshop in Toowoomba. Designed for families who are currently using, or considering using KWS, this practical session will build your confidence and skills to support communication in everyday life.

Key Word Sign (KWS) adds signs to spoken words. The key words in a message are signed. KWS is not a sign language, but it borrows the signs from the sign language of the country it is used in. In Australia, this is Auslan. Key Word Sign Australia acknowledges the deaf community for the use of Auslan signs.

  • Introduction to Key Word Sign
  • Research-based engaging presentation
  • Numerous opportunities to practice
  • Printable KWS resources

This workshop is in collaboration with the DSIDQ Support Services “Info for Life” grant.
