About the event

This workshop will provide information about special disability trusts for a family member with a disability.

For people with a family member with a severe disability to contend with, special disability trusts can be a valuable estate planning tool. They are not a universal solution and need to be evaluated in the light of Centrelink rules, planning and tax considerations.

Participants will gain knowledge about:

  • the role played by special disability trusts
  • the context for a special disability trust
  • identifying alternatives for special disability trusts.
