This session will provide information about Down syndrome and preventive health, including tips to maintain health and wellbeing, COVID-19 and other common viruses, the immunisation schedule and what to do if your child is unwell.
This workshop is for families of children with Down syndrome under the age of 18 years.
Participants will gain knowledge about:
- tips to maintain health and wellbeing
- COVID-19 and other common viruses
- the immunisation schedule in Victoria
- what to do if you child is unwell

Laura Marco, Paediatrician, Trisomy 21 Clinic, Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne
Dr Laura Marco is a general paediatrician at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and runs the Trisomy 21 clinic at the Royal Children’s Hospital. She has a wide range of interests including co-ordinating care for children with complex medical needs, assessing for autism in children with comorbid conditions, and using new technologies to improve access to medical care for children and their families.
