We are proud to share the incredible results of the recent Freemasons fundraising event in Geelong, hosted by Freemasons Cosmopolitan Lodge No 96. What began as a goal to raise $15,000 turned into $66,588 raised for people with Down syndrome and their families across Geelong and surrounding communities – a phenomenal effort!

These funds will go directly to delivering critical supports and services where they are needed most, bringing additional connections and exciting opportunities to the area over the next few years.

Our CEO, Daniel Payne, shared his appreciation: “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who made this event such a success. The funds raised will make a genuine and lasting difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families across Geelong and surrounding areas. This support will allow us to deliver vital services and capacity-building opportunities to the Geelong community. We can’t wait to get started.”

Down Syndrome Victoria are incredibly grateful to Freemasons Victoria, The Freemason Foundation, The Western District and Bellarine Otway District region coordinators, 360Q Restaurant and Function Centre Queenscliff, local businesses, sponsors, event organisers and importantly all attendees. Special thanks go to Julie, Kevin and Adam whose dedication and hard work helped bring this opportunity to life. Their efforts, alongside the support of the wider Geelong community, will ensure the funds raised go directly to creating meaningful connections, supports and new opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome in the region.
