Down Syndrome Australia joins Inclusion International

Down Syndrome Australia (DSA) is proud to announce its membership with Inclusion International, a leading global network advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The membership to Inclusion International is a recognition of DSA as a leading national voice and the national peak organisation for people with Down syndrome and their families.
Inclusion International is a respected network of organisations, comprised of self-advocates, families, and professionals representing the interests of people with intellectual disabilities. Inclusion International works through their members to create a world where people with intellectual disabilities and their families can actively participate in all areas of their life, and are valued equally by their community. By becoming a member, DSA gains access to a diverse range of expertise, resources, and collaborations to bolster their efforts in supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

With this new collaboration, DSA will build stakeholder relationships and communicate within the regional and global network of Inclusion International. DSA will also participate in Inclusion International’s committees and working groups and engage with international project and programme work. This partnership will enable DSA to contribute to innovative global initiatives while also enhancing their existing work within Australia.
As a member of Inclusion International, Down Syndrome Australia affirms our dedication to national and international action to ensure individuals with Down syndrome enjoy equal rights, access to education, healthcare, employment, and every opportunity to lead fulfilling lives.
