
The trek
Down Syndrome Victoria has an annual trek to raise funds to help us continue to serve our community. This August, we are off to the iconic Larapinta Trail in Northern Territory.
The stunning Larapinta Trail is regarded as one of Australia’s premier walking tracks and this year. It’s a six-day trip that will include four days of hiking.
The itinerary
Day 1. Sunday, 24 August 2025: Arrive in Alice Springs
Day 2. Monday, 25 August 2025: Alice Springs to Wallaby Gap
Day 3. Tuesday 26 August 2025: Ormiston Gorge to Glen Helen Gorge
Day 4. Wednesday, 27 August 2025: Mount Sonder Climb
Day 5. Thursday, 28 August 2025: Ormiston Pound Walk to Alice Springs
Day 6. Friday, 29 August 2025: Depart Alice Springs
