Down Syndrome Advisory Network update

We’d like to welcome some new Down Syndrome Advisory Network (DSAN) staff members and farewell the outgoing ones. Over the past four years, DSAN has made countless meaningful contributions to DSV and our broader community. From advocating on the national stage at the World Down Syndrome Congress to warmly welcoming families at Family Fun Day, their impact has been lasting and profound.

As part of our commitment to amplifying diverse voices and creating more opportunities for adults with Down syndrome in Victoria, two current DSAN members will be transitioning into other roles within DSV. This change will allow two new members to join the DSAN team.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Emily and Keziah for their incredible contributions to DSAN and DSV. Their dedication, advocacy and passion have created opportunities and paved the way for others in our community. Both Emily and Kez will remain valued employees at DSV as lived experience advisors working on various initiatives.

We’re thrilled to welcome and congratulate Jack and Daniel who joined DSAN this month. Jack is a long-standing member of Club21 and has participated in our Employment Connections project. Daniel, based in regional Victoria, is a regular participant in FitSkills21. Both bring fresh perspectives, valuable insights and a wealth of lived experience to the team.

We look forward to seeing their contributions and can’t wait for you to meet them, along with the rest of DSAN, at StepUP! this October.
