DSV announces Daily Good Café within the Royal Children’s Hospital precinct

DSV is preparing to open Daily Good, a new social enterprise café as part of its upcoming office move to the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) precinct.
This marks an important new chapter for Down Syndrome Victoria.
Located within one of Victoria’s busiest public environments, Daily Good will sit at the centre of the activity. Families, clinicians, staff and visitors move through the hospital every day, creating a unique opportunity for connection, visibility and engagement.
This move is not just about a café. It is about building a place where:
- people with and without disability connect through everyday experiences
- families can access support, information and community when they need it most
- people with Down syndrome are seen, valued and included
- inclusion is experienced, not explained.
Through our presence at RCH, DSV can strengthen our partnerships with health professionals, genetic counsellors and other associates, while continuing to provide whole-of-life services and supports for our community across Victoria.
Daily Good will offer a welcoming, high-quality café experience while also creating pathways for people with Down syndrome to secure meaningful paid employment.
Daily Good represents a new way of advancing our mission and will complement DSV’s existing statewide services and supports through:
- community connection
- visibility and representation
- employment pathways
- family support.
Together, these create a model that supports both immediate experiences and longer-term impact.
Daily Good will be opening later in 2026 and we will keep you updated in the lead up via DNews and social media.
In the meantime, to open the café and establish this new presence, DSV is working closely with potential partners and supporters. We invite you to join us in creating meaningful opportunities for people with Down syndrome.
