Down Syndrome Victoria is moving into a bold new chapter – we would love you to be part of it
We are establishing the Daily Good Café at the Royal Children’s Hospital precinct, alongside our new office and community hub! You can find out more about it below by watching the video, and scroll down for our Case for Support, because great ideas need big-hearted champions.
The Daily Good Café will be located in the Royal Children’s Hospital precinct – a welcoming, customer-facing social enterprise that will create meaningful paid employment for people with Down syndrome. It will also serve as a new community hub through DSV’s new central office and multi-purpose function space.
This marks an important and historical step in how DSV connects with the community.
Located within one of Victoria’s busiest public environments, Daily Good will sit at the centre of everyday activity. Families, clinicians, staff and visitors move through the hospital every day, creating a unique opportunity for connection, visibility and engagement.
This opportunity is both exciting and significant.
While DSV will continue to provide whole-of-life services and supports right across Victoria, by being part of the RCH setting, DSV can extend its reach to foster partnerships with health professionals, genetic counsellors and other associates, and provide critical care for young families at a time when we are needed most, amplifying our reach and impact.
How you can play a vital part
We invite you to join us in delivering a model of inclusion that is visible, practical and experienced daily.
You can sign up for DNews, our monthly newsletter, for updates about this project.
Our Case for Support below outlines our vision, model, expected impact and the opportunity to partner and invest in this unique endeavor to connect and elevate our community.
