About the event

We know our children are so much more than just a report or assessment. So how do we show the important people in their lives who they really are and how they can be best supported?

Join this interactive online MyTime workshop to be guided in creating a positive introduction for your child, showing their strengths, interests, motivators, what they love and what works best for them.

If you already have an All About Me, this can also be a time to revisit the document and update it based on the latest developments in your child’s life.

What is an All About Me page?

(from Kindred’s website)

An All About Me page is a document you can create that introduces your child and provides information about them.

Usually a one-page document, the purpose of an All About Me page is to communicate the positives about your child and their identity, rather than simply their diagnosis. The page can include information about your child’s abilities and interests, as well as strategies and tips for how best to support and communicate with your child.

Your child’s All About Me Page can be shared with teachers, health professionals, therapists, and any other people you introduce your child to.

All About Me pages are a valuable way to share information about your child that shifts the focus to their strengths.

During this workshop, you will:

  • strengthen your knowledge on how to identify the positives of what your child can do
  • use a strengths-based approach to define the supports that work best for your child to thrive
  • leave the session with a powerful tool to share with various people and settings.

This workshop is for carers of children with a disability.
