Join DSQ Kids in Brisbane for a fun day out!
DSQ Kids is an opportunity for primary school aged children to meet new friends their age, get active and develop social skills in a new environment.
If you have a child aged 5-11 with Down syndrome and would like them to be a part of a group all about having fun, with opportunities to develop confidence and build independence, then this is for them.
Our Occupational Therapist has designed a dedicated, specialised therapy-based program of indoor and outdoor activities that aims to work on and improve things such as co-ordination, muscle building, visual tracking and fine motor skills. Being in a group environment also allows an opportunity for free play to catch up with friends, make new ones and to develop important social skills.

About the event
Bring: A hat, a drink bottle, sun screen, own chairs, picnic rugs or morning tea / snacks
Support Costs: $30.00 (invoiced at the end of the month) *First time participants will not have pay for their first event*

*Minimum numbers will apply for this event to go ahead. COVID-19 Safe Plan / Conditions: This activity has restricted numbers. Participants, staff and volunteers who are not feeling well, or been in contact with some not well will not be able to participate. Participants will be expected to sanitize their hands on arrival and during the activity. Sufficient social distancing space will be practiced during the event. There will be no sharing of food. Staff and volunteers are required to comply with all the same requirements and expectations. The Event Registration is taken in accordance with our Event Terms and Conditions.
