About the event

Are you a Queensland teacher or leader in a school that has a student/s with an intellectual disability or Down syndrome? Would you like the opportunity to receive free PD and network with other education professionals throughout the school year?

Down Syndrome Queensland would like to invite you to join our FREE Professional Teaching Cluster.

Our third Professional Teaching Cluster meeting topic of 2025 is on Executive Function.

  • This session will equip educators with practical strategies to support students’ focus, organisation, and emotional regulation.
  • Participants will learn how to recognise Executive Function challenges in the classroom and implement simple, high-impact adjustments to boost student engagement and independence.
  • We aim to build teacher confidence in fostering inclusive, well-managed learning environments through an Executive Function lens.

We hope to create a network of educators who are interested in connecting with other like-minded educators and to learn about authentic and sustainable inclusive teaching and learning strategies.

*The last PTC meeting for 2025 will take place on October 23rd.
