About the event

Are you a Queensland teacher or leader in a school that has a student/s with an intellectual disability or Down syndrome? Would you like the opportunity to receive free PD and network with other education professionals throughout the school year?

Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Queensland would like to invite you to join our FREE Professional Teaching Cluster. Please see details of our final meeting for 2025 below:

Topic:     Hypotonia and Fatigue

  • This PTC session will explore the impact of hypotonia and fatigue on students’ learning and engagement.
  • Participants will learn practical strategies to support energy management, and task participation in the classroom.
  • The session will also provide guidance on using visual and physical supports to optimise student success.

We hope to create a network of educators who are interested in connecting with other like-minded educators and to learn about authentic and sustainable inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
