About the event
This workshop is designed for adults with Down Syndrome who are FitSkills21 participants.
It will provide clear, realistic and supportive ways to promote healthy eating habits and overall wellbeing for people with Down syndrome.
It will provide you with simple, achievable strategies that you can use at home and when eating out.
You will learn about:
- what a healthy plate of food looks like
- portion sizes for each part of the healthy plate
- how to build a healthy meal at home and when eating out
- three simple mindful eating skills, supported by clear visual guides.

Presenter

Nicky Clark
Nicky is a nutritionist who focuses on practical nutrition strategies that fit real lives, families and busy schedules. Through both research and lived experience as a parent of a child with Down syndrome, Nicky has developed a strong focus on supporting the unique nutritional needs of people with Down Syndrome.
