About the event
An information session to assist parents and carers getting their child with Down syndrome ready to start primary school.
In this workshop parents will gain an understanding of:
- practical ideas and steps they can take to support transition
- providing key information to the school to support your child
- how to support your child socially.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and discuss any concerns they may have.
This workshop is for families of children with Down syndrome.

Presenter

Paula Kilgallon, Education Manager, DSV
Paula Kilgallon is an experienced teacher who has worked in primary schools in both Australia and overseas. She also has experience teaching socially disadvantaged children with Berry Street. Paula has post graduate qualifications in Psychology, having completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Psychology with Monash University. Paula joined the Education Support Team in January 2019, and is committed to helping students achieve their goals.
