An informal discussion about how to prepare your child for kindergarten. Learn and share strategies and ideas to best support your child to establish the foundations for a successful experience.
Participants will gain knowledge about:
- preparing your child for kindergarten – including practical ideas and steps parents/carers can take to support this transition.
- learning about the supports available to your child, how to access them and how to make the most of the supports available.
- developing a positive working relationship between kinder team, yourself and your child’s support team, (including allied health) in order to promote inclusive practices and to work towards the best possible outcomes for your child.

Corina Payne, Early Childhood Professional
My name is Corina Payne and I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for 20 years now, as a qualified Kindergarten Teacher, and in various roles of management and leadership. I have worked closely with families and Allied Health professionals over the years to create inclusive environments and practices for the best learning outcomes for the children. I thoroughly enjoy coaching and mentoring fellow educators, creating confident and competent teams to embed inclusivity and high-quality educational programs.
As well as being a passionate Kindergarten Teacher, I am also a mum to Holly, who is 13 years old and has Down syndrome.
