About the event
Are you a Queensland teacher or leader in a school that has a student/s with an intellectual disability or Down syndrome? Would you like the opportunity to receive free PD and network with other education professionals throughout the school year?
Down Syndrome Queensland would like to invite you to join our FREE Professional Teaching Cluster.
Our final Professional Teaching Cluster meeting of 2024 will discuss the Big 6 of reading—oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension—with a focus on strategies to support students with intellectual disabilities in both learning to read and reading to learn.
We hope to create a network of educators who are interested in connecting with other like-minded educators and to learn about authentic and sustainable inclusive teaching and learning strategies.
