About the event
This information session will assist parents to choose a suitable secondary school for their child with Down syndrome.
Parents will gain an understanding of:
- The range of schooling options available to them
- Selecting an appropriate school for their child
- The enrolment process
- Tips and strategies for a successful transition to secondary school
All face to face DSV Training will be run in accordance with government COVID safe rules. If we cannot run face to face events due to COVID restrictions, they will run on Zoom at the scheduled time. More information will be provided to participants closer to each event.

Presenters

Paula Kilgallon, Education Support Manager, DSV
Paula Kilgallon is an experienced teacher who has worked in primary schools in both Australia and overseas. She also has experience teaching socially disadvantaged children with Berry Street. Paula has post graduate qualifications in Psychology, having completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Psychology with Monash University. Paula joined the Education Support Team in January 2019, and is committed to helping students achieve their goals.
