Due to cyclone Alfred, the planned educator workshop in Bundaberg was cancelled and has now been rescheduled as an online PD.

We are extending this free online professional development workshop to educators in the North Coast region (State & Independent Schools) and Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton.

Do you teach or support a student with Down syndrome, Intellectual Disability or a complex profile?

Our FREE education event will focus on topics such as:

  • What is Down syndrome and intellectual disability – developmental profiles and common attributes
  • Common barriers to inclusion
  • Examples of reasonable adjustments for students with intellectual disability or complex profiles
  • Effective use of teacher aides/support officers

This workshop will be beneficial for:

  • P-12 classroom teachers
  • HOSES and Inclusion/Learning Support teachers
  • Curriculum leaders/HODs
  • Teacher Aides/Support officers
  • AVTs
  • Allied Health professionals supporting schools
