Employment opportunity: Health & Education Ambassador

As part of the Building Knowledge Project and Employment Connections Project, we’ve partnered with Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and we’re seeking an adult with Down syndrome to fulfill the role of Health & Education Ambassador within the AWH team!

AWH is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, located in Albury and Wodonga. Its dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff, supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW.

The Health & Education Ambassador will share their stories and lived experience with health professionals and co-deliver workshops. These workshops will talk about how to work with people with Down syndrome.

The Health & Education Ambassador will receive training and support to do this job.

This position is available to:

  • people with Down syndrome aged 18 years and over located in the region of Albury Wodonga
  • all communication types.
