Down Syndrome Victoria Advisory Network employee, Kez Glenane, sat down with our newest Club21 Ballarat Facilitator, Jack Garley, to have a chat and welcome him to the DSV team.

Kez: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself: what other work you do, family, hobbies?

Jack: I work at McCallum Industries in Ballarat in the disability sector and have Wednesdays off to look after my three year-old son. Before this I worked in the family jewellery business for eight years and for a company where I painted toy soldiers. I also have a seven week-old daughter so family life keeps me busy!

Kez: What  are you looking forward to most about Club21?

Jack: I’m relatively new to the area so am looking forward to exploring different parts of Ballarat. There is always lots going on in Ballarat, it will be great to get out and experience different things.

Kez: What do you like doing in your spare time?

Jack: In my spare time I like to watch TV with my partner Ruby, I enjoy reading books, spending time with family and friends and going out.

Kez: Do you have a favourite movie or tv show?

Jack: I’m enjoying Ted Lasso at the moment and my favourite movies would have to be the Indiana Jones movies.
