Come and join ACT Down Syndrome Association as we host a special event to celebrate the achievements of people with Down syndrome and to acknowledge the support provided by community groups, businesses or individuals.
Several awards will be presented on the night with presentations, music and dancing and a fabulous 3 course meal.

The achievement can be something that is significant to a person’s life. Examples of a significant achievement include (but are not limited to):
0-12 Years Old:
Tying their shoes by themselves, starting school, receiving an award at school or other extracurricular activity, learning to walk, or saying their first word.
13-17 Years Old:
Finishing school or achieving a good school report, confidently catching public transport, learning how to play a new sport or instrument, getting a job or volunteering for an organisation.
18+ Years Old:
Finishing school or achieving a good school report, confidently catching public transport, learning how to play a new sport or instrument, getting a job or volunteering for an organisation
This category is open to the wider ACT Community. Examples of nominations can be for providing meaningful employment to a person with Down Syndrome, providing work experience or volunteering opportunities to a person with Down Syndrome, providing education or training to a person with Down Syndrome, their families, friends, or support people.
