Let’s celebrate World Down Syndrome Day together! Join us for our annual family day of fun, food, and friendship at Werribee Open Range Zoo on Sunday 22 March.

Bring the whole family along for a day of fun, laughter and connection at Down Syndrome Victoria’s Family Fun Day!
Enjoy live performances, roaming entertainers, quiet picnic spaces and plenty of opportunities to relax and play. Throughout the morning, we will also be hosting optional scheduled moments to connect with other families, while still leaving lots of time to enjoy everything the zoo has to offer.
Your registration includes all-day zoo access, so you can make the most of your visit: enjoy a delicious meal, head out on safari, listen to an animal talk, or explore the zoo’s incredible exhibits at your own pace.
A new way to connect
One of the most requested parts of Family Fun Day is the chance to meet other families who get it. This year, we’re excited to be introducing something brand new to make those connections even easier.
For the first time ever, Family Fun Day will include structured meet-and-connect sessions, bringing together families who have similar circumstances. These relaxed, welcoming meet-up opportunities are designed to help spark conversations, share experiences, and build relationships, whether it’s swapping stories, tips, or simply putting faces to familiar names!
You’ll also have the chance to connect with key DSV staff, ask questions, and learn more about supports and opportunities relevant to your stage of life.
Whether this is your first Family Fun Day or you’ve been attending for years, these new sessions are a wonderful opportunity to connect more deeply with our community, while still enjoying all the fun of the day.
