MyTime

MyTime is a peer support program for parents and caregivers of children aged 0-18 years with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition. If you feel like you need some time for yourself to connect with other parents and caregivers who understand caring for a child with complex needs, MyTime is an opportunity to do that.

MyTime is a peer support program for parents and caregivers of children aged 0-18 years with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition.

If you feel like you need some time for yourself to connect with other parents and caregivers who understand caring for a child with complex needs, MyTime is an opportunity to do that. Each group is supported by a facilitator who helps the group to connect over a coffee and chat in a relaxed environment. Throughout the term the group will also spend sessions on self-care activities and structured discussions around, relevant topics.

MyTime groups are for parents and caregivers of a child who:

• is younger than 18 years

• has a disability or a health condition.

MyTime groups are peer support groups.

That means that parents and families can support each other and share information.

A facilitator helps at the group meetings.

This is someone who helps people to take part in the meeting and makes the meeting go well.

• other things that are important to parents and families who have a child with disability.
