You’re invited to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month with Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV) this October in Melbourne and Geelong!
StepUP! is a fundraising and awareness campaign held during Down Syndrome Awareness Month every October. It celebrates the significant contributions people with Down syndrome make to our communities.
This year DSV are delighted to be holding our annual Melbourne StepUP! event at Princes Park in Melbourne on 20 October, as well as supporting the community in Geelong to celebrate with their own StepUP! event on 13 October. Read on for more details.
A new sponsor
Down Syndrome Victoria are excited to announce that StepUP! Melbourne has a new proud sponsor, Carer Gateway Merri Health.
Carer Gateway is an Australian Government program offering a range of free supports and services tailored to the unique needs of unpaid carers. This includes a range of services, including counselling, coaching, practical assistance, tailored support packages, in-person peer support with other carers, and emergency or planned respite.

- What: You’ll enjoy a 1km walk along the waterfront, live music and lots of fun activities
StepUP! Melbourne
Sunday 20 October 2024
- Time: 10.30am – 1.30pm
- Where: Princes Park, North Carlton
- What: You’ll enjoy a 3.5km walk around Princes Park, live music and entertainment and a market stall bonanza
Tickets and registration
Pre-purchased tickets to this event are available and will give you access to a personal fundraising page.
You are also welcome to bring your family to the event and purchase tickets in person, however, ticket prices may differ on the day.
